Tecoma stans (Esperanza 'Gold Star')
$ 15.98
Also known as Yellow Elder, Yellow Bells, and Trumpet Flower.
Esperanza is a fast-growing, semi-woody shrub with showy, bright yellow trumpet-shaped flowers. It can survive mild winters in the DFW area, although it will die back to the ground in harsh winters. In warmer areas with mild winters it can be evergreen. Esperanza blooms from late spring through fall, often without stopping. It grows well in dry, rocky soils. It needs very good drainage and full sun. 'Gold Star' is a compact form with larger flowers.
