Bushy Bluestem is a handsome bunchgrass easily grown in medium to wet soil in full sun. Its foliage is green in the summer and coppery bronze in the winter with fluffy flower heads emerging in the fall. It provides a striking vertical element in the garden and its seed heads work well in dried flower arrangements.

Bushy Bluestem is perfect for low-lying areas, wetlands, rain gardens, moist meadows or poor drainage areas. It provides a year-round interest in the garden. Old foliage can be cut back in late winter or early spring to maintain a tidy appearance.
