Texas Sotol is a slow-growing, sculptural plant with long, narrow leaves edged with small teeth. It is evergreen and extremely drought and heat tolerant once established. It produces a tall flower stalk with creamy white flowers in summer. Texas Sotol is native to the Trans-Pecos and Edwards Plateau regions, but it does well in North Texas when planted in well-drained or rocky soils.
