Also known as Texas Blue Grass.

Texas Bluegrass is a cool season, clumping native grass with narrow blue-green leaves. In spring the showy 2-3 ft. fluffy silvery flowers rise above the foliage. It grows well in most well-draining soils. It can tolerate some shade. Texas Bluegrass is a good ground cover that can be mowed or left unmowed. It attracts various butterflies and birds who utilize seeds and leaves for nesting material. Provides fair grazing for wildlife.
