Prosopis glandulosa (Honey Mesquite)
$ 42.00
Honey Mesquite is a medium-height, often shrubby, deciduous tree with bright-green, feathery leaves and long thorns. In cultivation it offers the perfect amount of bright, dappled shade, allowing for plants to grow underneath it.
Honey Mesquite needs deep watering to become a tree, but once established, it is drought-tolerant. If not deep watered, the plant will remain a shrub. Plant in full sun, and away from your home and other structures. It has a large, spreading root system able to draw water from near the water table.
