Also known as Texas Virgin's Bower and Old Man's Beard.

Drummond's Clematis is a vigorous, drought-tolerant native vine with small, creamy-white, fragrant flowers in late summer and fall. After flowering, the feathery seed plumes are just as attractive as the blooms — silvery and shimmering in the light, persisting through winter. Easy to grow on fences, trellises, or through shrubs. Adapts well to poor, dry, well-drained soils. Cut back hard in late winter to keep tidy.
