Hairy Sunflower is a native perennial sunflower with cheery yellow flowers. It does best with full to part sun, but can handle part shade as well. It is a bee magnet, attracts butterflies, and birds love the seeds. It tolerates clay soils and makes a good cut flower.
Hairy Sunflower spreads through rhizomes and seeds. It is perfect for naturalized areas, wildflower meadows, pocket prairies or wildlife habitats.
